Disciplinary Proceedings Against Manders
(1988)
In the Matter of Disciplinary Proceedings Against Frank G. Manders, Attorney at Law.
On January 5, 1988 the Board of Attorneys Professional Responsibility filed a report recommending that the petition of Frank G. Manders for the voluntary revocation of his license to practice law, filed together with that report, be granted. The petition states that on October 15, 1987 Attorney Manders was convicted in Brown county circuit court of three felony counts of security fraud and one felony count of the sale of unregistered securities. Attorney Manders is now the subject of an investigation by the Board concerning his conduct in an estate in which it was alleged that he accepted appointment as personal representative and attorney at a time when he was in debt to the decedent, failed to list that debt in the estate’s inventory, falsely represented on a final account that distributions had been made to beneficiaries, fraudulently failed to disclose payments he had made from the estate to himself and converted estate funds to his own use. Attorney Manders stated in his petition that he could not successfully defend against those allegations.
IT IS ORDERED that the license of Frank G. Manders to practice law in Wisconsin is revoked by consent, pursuant to SCR 21.10 (1), effective the date of this order.
